Brothers and Co-Workers,
District 2 will have the Nomination Committee meeting at 10:30 am at Warwick Lodge March 14th 2010. All persons wanting to be considered for a District Office should put their form in to Ike Burlingame before the meeting starts. No nominations will be taken after the meeting starts. Your Lodges have been sent form to be posted on the bulletin board. If you could not find one, we will have them at the Warwick Lodge on that date. I would advise getting to the Lodge around 10:15 am to have plenty time.
All Governors, Administrators, past Presidents and present Board Officers are on this committee. Please be there before 10:30 am. Then the Board of Officers meeting will be at the regular time with the membership meeting at noon. The election will be held at the Williamsburg Lodge May 16th 2010. Thank you for your help with this matter.
Brother Ron Downey will be our guest speaker on the 14th at Warwick. Brother Ron is currently the Membership Chairman foe the Virginia Moose Association. He is also the past President of the Virginia moose Association.
All brothers & co-workers please be at the March 14th meeting at Warwick Lodge 1711. I have a box full of awards given to me by Brother Matt Grove to be given out to brothers & co-workers in District 2.The Lucky Duck Raffle needs to do a little better Governors & Sr. Regents. Please try to sell all of your tickets before the next meeting on March 14th at the Warwick Moose Family Center 1711. Please turn in all tickets you don’t sell. We as a District gave to Moose Charities donations of $500.00 at Mid Year. The only way we are able to do this is through raffle sales. I thank you all for your support and to those who sell all their tickets a BIG thank you. It seems that the winners come from the Lodges & Chapters that sell them all. Thanks again.
A thanks goes out to all Lodges and Chapters. We had a great attendance recorded at Newport News Moose Lodge 1119. Let’s see if we can break it at Warwick Moose Family Center 1711.
Also, I hope everyone has a great time at the Moose Legion 199 Winter Celebration at the Holiday Inn Hampton February 19-21st.
Let’s get our membership and retention going. We only have 3 ½ months left.
